Product Overview

Description

Human Dermal Microvascular Endothelial Cells (HDMECs) are a type of primary endothelial cell found in the skin’s microvasculature. They are defined as endothelial cells in direct contact with blood, forming the lining of blood vessels and playing essential roles in wound healing and tissue repair by facilitating the delivery of oxygen and nutrients while removing waste products.

Guarantee expansion for a minimum of 2-5 population
doublings.

IMPORTANT: Quality warranty requires use of NeoBioPharma media. Biohazardous material despite negative pathogen testing. Quality claims must be reported within 1 month.

CELL MARKERS & CHARACTERIZATION

HDMECs are identified and quality-controlled using several specific markers:

* von Willebrand Factor (vWF) / Factor VIII endothelial identity marker.
* CD31 (PECAM-1) platelet-endothelial cell adhesion molecule.
* Podoplanin used to distinguish lymphatic from blood vascular endothelial cells.
* DiI-Ac-LDL uptake functional assay for endothelial identity.
