Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVEC)

HUVEC cells are primary endothelial cells isolated from human umbilical vein endothelium and cryopreserved at an early passage to preserve endothelial morphology and functional responsiveness. HUVECs are widely used to model vascular endothelium in angiogenesis, inflammation, permeability, thrombosis, cell-adhesion, wound-healing, vascular toxicity, and drug-discovery studies.

The cells are supplied as a cryopreserved P1 vial containing a nominal 500,000 cells and are intended for rapid recovery in an endothelial growth medium under standard humidified cell-culture conditions.
