Human Pulmonary Microvascular Endothelial Cells

Product Overview
Description
Human Pulmonary Microvascular Endothelial Cells (HPMECs) are primary endothelial cells derived from the small blood vessels of the human lung, especially the capillaries and microvasculature. They form the inner lining of pulmonary microvessels and are essential for maintaining the lung’s vascular barrier and proper gas exchange function.
These cells play a critical role in regulating vascular permeability, inflammation, immune cell migration, and blood–lung barrier integrity. Because of their physiological relevance, HPMECs are widely used in respiratory and vascular research, including studies on lung diseases such as acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), pulmonary hypertension, fibrosis, and viral infections.
Guarantee expansion for a minimum of 2-5 population doublings.
IMPORTANT: Quality warranty requires use of NeoBioPharma media. Biohazardous material despite negative pathogen testing. Quality claims must be reported within 1 month.
