Description

CIHM-MED4 is a sterile, complete, serum-containing medium formulated to support the maintenance and terminal differentiation of Conditionally Immortalized Human Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (CIHM001) along the adipogenic lineage. This medium is intended for use after the doxycycline withdrawal phase (using CIHM-MED2) to allow SV40 LT expression to shut down, enabling the cells to exit proliferation and undergo stable adipogenic differentiation.

The medium promotes the accumulation of intracellular lipid droplets, which can be visualized by Oil Red O staining, and supports long-term maintenance of mature adipocytes.

Note: This medium does not contain doxycycline or puromycin.

Note: This medium contains tetracycline-free FBS to ensure no inadvertent activation of the TetON system during differentiation.
