Product Overview
Description
Human Primary Epidermal Pelanocytes are specialized cells located in the epidermis, the outermost layer of skin. These cells are responsible for producing melanin, the pigment that gives skin its color. Through a process called melanosome transfer, melanocytes supply these pigmentary structures to neighboring keratinocytes, the predominant cells in the epidermis.
This collaboration not only determines the skin's pigmentation but also plays a crucial role in protecting the skin from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. By absorbing and dispersing UV rays, melanocytes contribute significantly to the skin's defense mechanisms and overall health.
Guarantee expansion for a minimum of 2-5 population doublings.
