Product Overview

Description

Human Pulmonary Artery Endothelial Cells (HPuAECs) are specialized vascular endothelial cells that line the inner surface of the pulmonary arteries, which carry deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs. They play a central role in regulating vascular tone, blood flow, and lung-specific vascular function.

Guarantee expansion for a minimum of 2-5 population doublings.

IMPORTANT: Quality warranty requires use of NeoBioPharma media. Biohazardous material despite negative pathogen testing. Quality claims must be reported within 1 month.

Key Features

Catalog Number: NBP-0120
Product Format: Frozen
Vial Cell Number: > 5x10[5] cells/vial
Passage:1(P1)
Storage: Liquid Nitrogen, Vapor Phase
Intended Use: Research use only (RUO)

Characteristics:

HPuAECs share general endothelial features but have lung- and pulmonary-artery–specific properties:

-Markers: CD31 (PECAM-1), VE-cadherin, von Willebrand factor (vWF), eNOS.
-Morphology: Polygonal “cobblestone” monolayer in culture.
-Function: Barrier formation, vasodilation/vasoconstriction regulation.
-High responsiveness to shear stress and oxygen tension changes.
-Nitric oxide production via eNOS activity is especially important in pulmonary circulation.
